Your Mission

We are always looking for pragmatic, hands-on, committed and passionate students to join us as working students on a 20h per week basis. If you are a Data Science or Informatics Student willing to support a Team of Chemists and Chemical Engineers in fighting climate change with us, contact us!

Your Role

Your main role will be to help us maintain and improve our in-house developed Python-based data storage, processing and visualization platform.

You will be in a position to drive next steps, help us understand what we might be able to do even better and drive significant progress in this area. Your subject matter expertise in Data Science / Informatics will be greatly appreciated by our group of chemists&engineers.

Your Skillset

• You are fluent in Python (in particular libraries such as pandas, plotly) and familiar with SQL-queries
• You have experience/are curious to learn about setting up communication with proprietary software using APIs (e.g. electronic lab book software)
• You know how to effectively use version control tools git & GitHub for collaborative projects
• You have experience/are curious about maintaining server hosted storage of data (e.g. AWS)

• Innovative and creative, ready to find solutions for problems no one has solved before.
• Passionate about impact and contributing to the fight against climate change.
• Collaborative, as the world biggest problems are solved as a team.
